Robert's passion for music is influenced by renowned musicians Al DiMeola, Carlos Santana, Jeff Beck, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Lenny White, Eric Johnson, Keith Richards, Jan Hammer, and Jimi Hendrix.
The songs & music of Return To Forever, Brand X, LA Express, Weather Report, Dixie Dregs, Sly & the Family Stone, Isley Brothers, The Rolling Stones, & Steve Winwood, are among band/artist favorites. A big fan of songcrafters Harry Chapin, Bob Gaudio, Donovan Leitch, Graham Nash, Harry Nilsson, Donald Fagan, Brian Wilson, Billy Joel, and the "Glimmer Twins".
A multi-faceted composer/songwriter; Robert performs on guitars, keyboards, vocals, bass, and percussion. His compositions have reached into many different genres including pop rock, progressive rock/jazz fusion, country rock, orchestral, avant-garde, beach trance, and new age. He has reached the "Earth Top Ten" at Broadjam.com for his song "Delirium" (Feb '03), and his high-energy rock instrumental "Predator" reached #1 on the Broadjam "Colorado Regional" chart. Robert has been featured artist at Strats.com-the official web site of the "Fender Stratocaster". His song "Look Before You Leap", was featured in the May '00 issue of Takarajima Magazine (Japan) "Best Of MP3". He has reached #1 on the Mp3.com "Contemporary Classical" chart with "Answered Prayers".
Recent releases of "Raised On The Rolling Stones" (1995), and "Don't Wait For Love (to look for you)", are previously unreleased material taken off the archives shelf. The latter featuring vocals teaming up with Larry Hallaert, recorded in 1983, Fort Collins, Colorado.
New studio instrumental project "Miles To Go", currently under way, featuring a
Miles Davis influence and a brass horn section over a jazzy groove!
Inspiration is all around, take a look
this way and that way, and up to the heavens. Contemplate ideas while exploring secret places: Moab & the High Desert, SW Colorado/Four Corners, Cozumel Mexico and the Riviera Maya (sorry will not share exactly where to do that in these favorite spots, ha!) .
